1. Improved Sleep

Eating within a specific time window has been shown to balance circadian rhythms and improve sleep quality & feelings of restfulness.

2. Improved Hormones

Insulin levels: Insulin sensitivity improves and levels of insulin drop dramatically when taking a food break. If insulin is high, you can't burn fat. Lower insulin levels make stored body fat accessible as an energy source.

Insulin is the key fat storage hormone in our bodies, it's basically the 'gate keeper' to our body's fat stores. Every time you eat, your body's insulin increases and glycogen is provided as your body's preferred energy source. Excess glycogen is then stored in other places of your body, like your liver. When the liver runs out of storage, though, it begins to transform that excess glycogen into fat. When you fast, allow insulin to lower. Then, your body is able to burn through stored glycogen and seek out alternative sources of energy - stored body fat!

Human growth hormone: fasting increases blood levels of HGH by as much as 5x!! Higher levels of this hormone are widely proven to help facilitate fat burning and muscle gain, among numerous other health benefits.

3. Cellular Repair

When fasting, your cells initiate important repair processes & even change the expression of genes (in a good way!). The body induces important cellular repair processes, such as removing waste material from cells. This leads to improved energy levels, increased memory & focus, clear skin, healthy hair & nails, boosted immune system response, improved digestion, among other incredible benefits! 

4. Weight Loss

Intermittent fasting works beyond just cutting calories to facility fat loss. It works through hormone optimization primarily. In fact, several studies have shown that Intermittent Fasting preserves Basal Metabolic Rate, meaning your maintenance calories don't need to decrease after weight loss - you can stop fasting & to back to eating the calories you were before without gaining all the weight back as you would with a typical diet! 

It also dramatically decreases inflammation & bloated, which can result in rapid inch loss and less water retention, improve aches and pains, etc. 

5. Improved Endurance

Athletes build and maintain their endurance by running and doing other progressive cardio training workouts. With IF you can naturally increase your VO2 just by skipping breakfast! Several studies have shown significant increases in VO2 max on fasted athletes versus athletes who ate breakfast an hour before the test. Imagine that, just eating differently can make you a better endurance athlete! 

6. It's Simple

Time-Restricted Eating is so simple! Many people find it much easier to adhere to than regular diet plans becuase rather than being restricted on food choices, you just simple eat within a specific time window. Now, to be clear, you still shouldn't just eat 'whatever the heck you want' and expect to get shredded, but many people find they don't have to track their food intake as precisely, or at all, while still seeing incredible results!
